The cloud computing path in China seems to have gone off course!
Nowadays, the main model of large domestic companies is to bring in users through cheap servers and then kill them off with databases and cloud storage when they grow big! For example, Alibaba Cloud's original slogan was 'Universalism' which offered affordable server prices for new users. However, if you scale up your cloud storage needs or need a database service, they will already be waiting with their knives out for your blood! In other words, personal users and startup businesses get a sweet deal initially but once your business scales up, you'll realize that the traps are everywhere behind you! Moreover, personal users simply cannot use all resources, as others can overbook them. You're essentially helping them pay for electricity! It seems like Baidu actually made a good point about cloud computing being nothing more than a new bottle of old wine! When you reach a certain size, you still have to go for dedicated servers!!
