Is there an IDC guru who wants to learn and understand something?
I'm not sure about the details of how various IDCs establish peer relationships. For example, there are many claims that they have connected to HKIX EIE HE etc. I don't understand their point is that who is responsible for and provides the physical channels at the bottom layer? For example, do we need to add fiber cables between two data center facilities? That would be very costly in terms of cost. Or could it be that we purchase an operator (like China Telecom which provides the underlying physical channels but only includes the channel, and the routing needs to be solved by ourselves?)
