How many years has the average salary not been raised?

Remember, when I was a factory worker, we used to get 3500 RMB as a basic salary back in the day. When I graduated from college and got my first job with an official position, it was around 4000 RMB. A few days ago, I went to eat at a restaurant in one of the brand chain hotels. The waiter said he made 3700 RMB a month, and that he had two meals a day. I asked him if he would rather be a delivery man, who gets no meal allowance, but he said he'd rather be here, where he could get a meal allowance. Back then, there were apartments in town which you could live in for 200 RMB per month, but now it costs between 1000 RMB and 1500 RMB to rent an apartment near a residential area.
