The Central Internet Information Office is soliciting comments on the National Network Identity Authentication Public Service Management Rules for 30 days. Users can apply for a "net number" (a string of letters and numbers, without plain text), and the App issues a "net certificate" (a credential carrying the net number and non-plain identity information). Encouraging internet platforms to voluntarily switch to this app to register and authenticate users' real-name information in order to reduce personal information collection and retention. Departments such as civil affairs, tourism, culture, public health, railways, and postal services will promote the use of this app in their respective areas. For scenarios where only the verification of true identity is required by national regulations, the App provides only the "net certificate" authentication results; if compliance visitors must retain documents, the App obtains user authorization to provide minimal plain text information. |
